WOODLAND WAYS

We’re proud to have Woodland Ways supporting Tracks & Traditions.

Woodland Ways is one of the UK’s leading providers of bushcraft, survival and wilderness training, delivering courses and expeditions designed to reconnect people with the natural world and develop practical skills, confidence and a deeper understanding of the environments around us.

From fire lighting, foraging and traditional crafts to tracking, wilderness living and overseas expeditions, their approach goes far beyond simply surviving outdoors. It’s about understanding the landscape, learning from it and keeping traditional skills and knowledge alive.

That philosophy sits at the very heart of Tracks & Traditions. As we travel across continents, we’ll be exploring how different communities live alongside the natural world, documenting the skills, knowledge and traditions that continue to be passed from one generation to the next.

The Bushcraft Magazine

The world’s longest-running magazine dedicated to bushcraft and outdoor skills, Bushcraft Magazine has spent years sharing the knowledge, stories and experiences of people passionate about the natural world. From traditional crafts and wild food to survival skills, natural history and adventures from around the globe, their ethos has a natural connection with what Tracks & Traditions is setting out to document.

The team also runs The Bushcraft Show, an international gathering bringing together some of the biggest names in bushcraft, survival and outdoor skills for a weekend of demonstrations, workshops, talks and hands-on experiences.

Their support of Tracks & Traditions helps us take that shared passion for traditional knowledge, outdoor skills and storytelling beyond the woodland and out across the world.

We’re incredibly grateful to have them along for the journey.

THE WOODLAND WAYS BUSHCRAFT FOUNDATION

The expedition will also be raising money for the Woodland Ways Bushcraft Foundation, a charity established to help more people experience the benefits of the natural world and outdoor education.

The Foundation works to create opportunities for people who may otherwise face barriers to accessing the outdoors, using bushcraft and nature-based experiences to encourage learning, confidence, connection and personal development.

Throughout Tracks & Traditions, fundraising for the Foundation will be an important part of the journey. As we travel the world learning from communities whose knowledge and traditions are deeply connected to the land, we also want the expedition to leave something positive behind by helping more people access meaningful experiences in nature.

We’re proud to have Woodland Ways beside us and even prouder that the miles we travel can help support the work of the Woodland Ways Bushcraft Foundation.

ALBA TREE SURGEONS

Based in Edinburgh and working across the Lothians and beyond, Alba Tree Surgeons are a team of qualified tree care professionals providing everything from tree and hedge maintenance to pruning, crown work, removals and emergency tree services.

Their work requires an understanding of trees, the environments they grow in and the importance of looking after the landscapes around us. It’s a connection to the natural world that makes Alba a great fit for Tracks & Traditions and the values behind the expedition.

As we travel across continents exploring traditional skills, landscapes and the relationship between people and the natural world, having support from businesses that share a respect for the outdoors is incredibly important to us.

The backing of Alba Tree Surgeons is helping us turn an ambitious idea into a real expedition, enabling us to travel further, document the stories we encounter and share them with people around the world.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Alba Tree Surgeons supporting the journey from the roots up.

there are many ways for you to ride alongside this journey with us.

This expedition will unfold as a documentary and a long-form series, but at its heart it is about connection, learning, and giving something back. Every mile ridden and every story shared supports the wider mission of the Woodland Ways Bushcraft Foundation, helping preserve traditional skills, land-based knowledge, and education for future generations.

From the price of a meal to the generosity of a philanthropist, there are many ways to support this odyssey. By supporting the expedition, you’re not just funding a journey, you’re becoming part of it. Support can take many forms: from rolling monthly contributions that quietly fuel the road ahead, to one-off donations that give timely boosts when they’re needed most. You can also support the expedition by wearing the journey through our merchandise, or simply by following, sharing, and engaging with our social media, helping these stories reach further than we ever could alone.

Those who choose to support will gain access to exclusive updates from the road, behind-the-scenes videos, interviews with the people we meet along the way, interactive polls, and insights that never make it to the public feed. However you choose to be involved, your support helps shape the story as it unfolds, and places you firmly within the journey itself.
